Can You Say Busy??

*Last week was sooooo busy! Meghan had her first track meet and did awesome! She competed in 4 events...but I didn't get one single picture. It was so cold, I barely managed to sit on the cold cold bleacher! I had to leave to get Trey and Lily home to bed, but Daniel stayed and brought Meghan home....at 9:30! She went to the meet right from school...made for a VERY long night! Luckily, there are so many girls (96 to be exact) on the team that they have them divided into three groups, so we don't go to all the track meets, which is very nice! She has another one on the 28th....we are praying for warmer weather!
*Lily had her spring carnival this past Friday, which was a lot of fun. It was beautiful outside and they had inflatables, games, food, silent auction, and Lily's favorite, hair dye! She had her hair sprayed pink.....but I made her wash it out after we got home b/c it left her white shirt pink!
*Saturday, we spent the day at the church helping the youth with their yard sale. The money raised goes to their mission trip to Costa Rica. Meghan won't be going just b/c one of us would have had to go too due to her age. A little more expense than we were willing to pay. But we will be in Florida for part of that time, so she is not really bummed about it....not to mention her BFF, Katie, isn't going either.
*I took Trey on Wednesday to get screened for speech and language at the elem. school. He was borderline, but she did have difficulty at times understanding him, so we are going ahead with the referral. The ARC is Thursday morning and then I am thinking he will be put on the list for summer testing since his birthday is in July. I sat and really listened to Trey before the screening to see what sound errors I could hear and there were more than I thought....but she said some of the sounds may come in by his 3rd birthday. So now it is just a waiting game. I also haven't decided if he qualifies whether to have him come to my school or to the one we are districted for. I will make that decision as we come to it.
*Daniel and I have been on a serious hunt for a new mattress. We have had our mattress for about 11 years....and boy are our backs starting to feel it! We checked a couple of places, but I am not willing to spend anywhere near $1000 for a mattress! That is insane! If you know of a good place to get a nice one, let me know!!!

Egg Hunt '09

As you can see by the pictures, Trey and Lily had a GREAT time hunting eggs! They loaded up on the candy, especially Lily! Trey has had difficulty learning that you have to ask BEFORE eating the candy! His Daddy thought he was in bed for a nap when he stepped outside and walked in discovering that Trey had his basket in bed with him and SEVERAL....and I do mean SEVERAL foil wrappers and the chocolate in his mouth and on his face! Such a stinker! Mommy was out shopping, so I lucked out on dealing with that one! Mimi was in town and we had a blast dying eggs with Wilson and Luke and just hanging out with Mimi and Pop Pop. We sure have missed her! We can't wait to head to Florida to see her and Ethan, Finley, and Rory! Happy Easter!

I **HEART** Spring Break!

I cannot begin to tell you how greatly I needed this week off! School/kids were really just not making it fun to go to work everday. I have enjoyed trying to sleep in (Trey is still up by 7am) and just hanging out with the kiddos. Monday we had a super lazy day and just hung out at home. I cleaned/did laundry so I could have that out of the way. Tuesday we hung out with my mom....she had a checkup with the doctor about her breast cancer and everything is good. She goes back in May for another mammogram, so prayers that everything is GONE!!! Tuesday evening, we grilled out and had Poppy (or Pop Pop as Trey calls him) and Uncle Bill over. It was so nice to grill out! It was our second time this week! Wednesday we met up with Daniel for lunch...I wasn't feeling really good (stinkin' migraine made me nauseous!), so afterwards, the kids and I headed home to watch a movie. Trey wouldn't nap, so we headed to the mall after the movie. We took the kids to the arboretum that evening after supper to walk and enjoy the beautiful weather. However, the big excitment on Wednesday morning was Trey. Trey decided he wanted to get creative....
Meghan left fingernail polish out on the coffee table (closed)the night before and Trey found it, managed to open it on his own, and decided to paint his "findernails" like his sisters do. He did a fairly decent job on his toes. Luckily for me, he did not get very much on the carpet and I was able to get it out. However, his sister was not so lucky and had a consequence for leaving it out. Needless to say, I can laugh about it now, but I was one unhappy Momma yesterday morning! Today, one of my friends and her daughter came over to play and eat lunch with us. The girls enjoyed Reagan's company and I think Trey did too even though he and Reagan did not always see eye to eye! Tomorrow I am hoping to take the kids to a local wildlife reserve to see some animals native to our state. It is a lot of fun and the best part is....it's free! You can't beat that! I hate to see the week end, but that just means one week closer to summer vacation!!!!
